Derby & Derbyshire Rail Forum
Derby enjoys an international reputation of excellence in railway consultancy, design, engineering and manufacture and has the capacity to supply rail solutions for every size of project. The aim of the Rail Forum is to promote the world class rail capability which its members have to offer.

The Railway Forum
The Railway Forum provides a voice for the whole railway industry - the only UK railway trade association which represents all sides of the industry - passenger and freight train operating companies, infrastructure providers, service companies and equipment suppliers.

Link-Up
The Link-up Database provides procurement and engineering professionals across the UK Rail Industry with detailed, up-to-date information on a large number of current and potential suppliers. It is utilised by over sixty rail industry companies, with Railtrack taking the principal role in working with Achilles to develop the database and ensure that it meets the ongoing requirements of the industry.

Using the Link-up Database helps those rail companies covered by its requirements to ensure compliance with EU Legislation, as well as eliminating the need to place individual calls for competition in the Official Journal of the European Communities. It can also help rail companies towards compliance with Railway Group Standards and in developing and maintaining a Railway Safety Case.

Institution of Mechanical Engineers
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is the United Kingdom's qualifying body for mechanical engineers.
