Tecforce is founded following the management buyout of the ADtranz Scientific Laboratories by Tony Forster MD. employing 9 staff in an 8,000 sq. ft. premises.
1997
Tony Forster wins "Business Person of the Year" Award from Southern Derbyshire Chamber.
1998
Tecforce Ltd wins "Young Business of the Year" Award from Southern Derbyshire Chamber.
1999
Tecforce Ltd moves to larger premises, the old ADtranz Training School site on Litchurch Lane, Derby, which has 18,500 sq. ft. of floor space. The workforce grows to 40+.
2000
The company experiences a growth in rail engineering work i.e. fabrication, repairs and component overhaul.
2001
Tecforce expands its Engineering activities, manufacturing bodyshells for Bombardier Transportation (UK) Ltd's Milan Tram project.
2003
Tecforce continues its rail engineering expansion for overhauls, retrofitting and modifications.
2004
Tecforce achieves ISO 9000.
The Company secures contracts for the long term supply of 20+ trained operational staff to various rail companies.
2005
To broaden Tecforces capabilities, new equipment is purchased, including an overhead crane, spray booth and shot blast facilities.
